![]() Ombre, Balayage, babylights, hair painting?! There are so many new trends in the world of hair and with social media and Pinterest you see all of these gorgeous looks but when you finally get to your hair colorist you have no idea how to explain what exactly what it is that you want! Lets breakdown all of these hair techniques and looks so you can use these savvy terms when its your turn to get your hair colored. Ombre is the gradual blending of one color into another, going from dark to light. Ombre is a trendy style right now and its great for a low maintenance hair color. Color melting is a similar technique that blends highlights into a solid base color to eliminate any harsh lines. Balayage is is french word meaning "to sweep" or "to paint". This is exactly the technique; the colorist will use a sweeping, painting motion to create soft, sun-kissed color. Balayage can be free0hand painted for a much more subtle look or in a foil to achieve a much lighter, more blonde look. All of the techniques and looks that have been described can be used alone or even all together, depending on the look that is desired. Hair painting is a very similar technique to balayage and the only real difference is the top and bottom of the strand of hair is painted creating a more severe look than with balayage where just the surface is painted. Babylights are delicate micro highlights that mimic the look of the fine natural highlights that you would see on a child. That completely natural-looking highlight that almost looks as if the hair isn't even colored and that you've just been blessed with awesome hair color! Now that we've cleared up all of the confusion surrounding these trendy hair terms its time to book your appointment for your color transformation! I like that you mentioned the trend of using ombre in your hair coloring. The gradual change is less noticeable but still allows for some fun and variety. My girlfriend wants to do something similar with some red in her dark hair.

I'm looking for the ideal hair colour for me right now since I want to be married next month. I like how your article suggests that balayage can produce hair that has a sun-kissed, natural-looking colour and softer, less obvious regrowth. I'll speak with a reputable salon to get my hair precisely coloured and professionally groomed for my wedding.

I love that you talked that you could obtain a two-color appearance of hair which is the Ombre blending. A few nights ago, my cousin informed me that she was planning to have a hair balayage treatment to obtain her ideal look for their friend's event, and he asked if I had any thoughts on what would be the best option to consider. I like this enlightening article, I'll tell her that it will be much better if she consults a trusted balayage treatment service as they can provide details about the process.
