The day of your wedding can be intimidating to say the least. With the thrill of a new chapter beginning in your life with your partner to the pressure of looking your very best on your wedding day can all make any bride worry. Even when you’re well prepared and have everything organized in your head, the pressure could mess something up and you might just end up forgetting some pivotal things.
If your wedding is nearby, there are a few things you should be watchful of on your wedding day. Many brides make some very common pre-wedding mistakes and if you’re reading this, you should be ready to not be one of them. #1: Leaving the accessories as a last minute decision Your wedding accessories for your hair should not be a last minute choice you have to make. If you’ve bought a bunch of accessories that you think would look well with your dress and hairdo but haven’t really tried them together before the wedding day, you’re making a big mistake. Chances are that the favorite clip you picked out from Forever 21 might be too big for your wedding day braid or just look mismatched with the embroidery on your wedding gown. As a rule of thumb, experiment your entire bridal look at least twice before the wedding. That includes your makeup, your hairstyle and your accessories. #2: Not washing your hair properly Washing your hair on the morning of your wedding day could affect the volume and hairstyle especially if you have fine hair. But not washing them at all even before the wedding to help them retain texture and volume is a big mistake as well. Shampoo and condition your hair thoroughly the night before your wedding so that they’re still clean for the morning and have a decent amount of volume and texture to them. If your hair gets oily quickly even after an overnight wash, then you should consider washing them in the morning because oily hair is even harder to style. #3: Not Getting Rid of the Split Ends Yes, we all want long locks of hair like Rapunzel on our wedding day but skipping trimming your hair and letting split ends grow can bring down the beauty of your long hair as well. Split ends can make your hair look dull and damaged so make sure to regularly have them trimmed before your wedding.
